    Census Bureau Releases Census 2000 Demographic Profile for Texas

      The U.S. Census Bureau today released the Profile of General Demographic
    Characteristics: Census 2000 for Texas, a one-page table providing Census
    2000 data on age and sex distribution, race, Hispanic origin, household
    relationship and type, housing occupancy and tenure (whether the housing
    occupant owns or rents).

      The profile includes nearly 100 data items in all, plus percentage
    distributions.
