About the Center for Demographic and Socioeconomic Research and Education
Established in December 1994, the Center for Demographic and Socioeconomic Research and Education's mission is to analyze the causes and consequences of population change for Texas and other areas. The center also serves as a base for focusing existing population research efforts at The University of Texas at San Antonio and for expanding into new areas of population research and education. The center recently released a report entitled, "The Texas Challenge in the Twenty-First Century: Implications of Population Change for the Future of Texas."
